Detective Henry Sanchez is on the downward slide to retirement when he catches a peculiar homicide case. A string of murders have been committed where the victims are suspected or previously convicted criminals. Witness statements all point to the main suspect being a deranged person that looks oddly like a clown. The case quickly escalates when the victim list begins to include members of a prominent crime family.
The investigation begins to pull Detective Sanchez in very unexpected directions and as he digs deeper into the mystery, he begins to receive ominous threats from within his own department. Meanwhile, a young FBI profiler, Kyla Watanabe, from Quantico takes an interest in the case and offers her help; off the books.
The violence escalates to an unpredictable scale and the whole city teeters on the precipice of anarchy as the hunt for the mysterious killer spins out of control. Now Detective Sanchez finds himself in the crosshairs of the mob, his superiors and a killer clown, and wonders if he’ll make it to retirement at all.
